By accessing or using JobSentry ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

JobSentry is operated by JobSentry, providing professional career tools including resume building, cover letter generation, job application management, and AI-powered career assistance.

2. Service Description

JobSentry provides the following services:

• Professional resume builder with multiple templates
• AI-powered cover letter generation
• Job description analysis and keyword extraction
• Resume optimization for specific job postings
• Interview preparation tools and question generation
• Application tracking and management dashboard
• PDF export functionality for resumes and cover letters
• Professional document templates

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Subscription Tiers

JobSentry offers the following subscription plans:

• Trial (Free): 1 resume, 1 application per month, 1 cover letter
• Plus ($7.99/month or $86.29/year): 5 resumes, 5 applications per month, 5 cover letters
• Pro ($12.99/month or $132.42/year): 20 resumes, 20 applications per month, 20 cover letters, AI job discovery

4.2 Billing and Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

4.4 Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with the Service. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. After 14 days, refunds are granted at our sole discretion.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle and you will be notified at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the Service to spam or harass others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Resell or redistribute the Service or content
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content provided by JobSentry, including templates, designs, software, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create using the Service (resumes, cover letters, applications). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process and store your content to provide the Service
• Use AI models to analyze and improve your content
• Generate derivatives (optimized versions, suggestions)
• Display your content within the platform for your use

We do not share your personal content with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.

7. AI-Generated Content

7.1 No Warranty

Content generated by our AI tools (cover letters, interview questions, resume suggestions) is provided "as is" without warranty. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions.

7.2 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use. We recommend:

• Carefully reviewing all AI suggestions for accuracy
• Ensuring content reflects your actual experience and qualifications
• Verifying facts, dates, and details
• Customizing content to match your personal voice

7.3 No Guarantee of Employment

Use of our Service, including AI-generated content, does not guarantee job placement, interviews, or employment outcomes. Your success depends on many factors outside our control.

8. Data Privacy and Security

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. You acknowledge the inherent security risks of internet transmission.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party providers:

• Stripe: Payment processing
• Google Gemini: AI content generation
• Render: Database hosting
• Vercel: Application hosting

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their practices.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBSENTRY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from AI-generated content errors or inaccuracies
• Employment outcomes or lack of job opportunities
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Third-party conduct or content on the Service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10.3 No Professional Advice

JobSentry is a technology platform, not a career counseling or professional advisory service. Content provided should not be construed as professional career advice. Consult qualified professionals for specific career guidance.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JobSentry, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another party; or (d) content you submit to the Service.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

• By You: Cancel your subscription through account settings at any time
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, non-payment, or at our discretion with or without notice

Upon termination:

• Your right to access the Service immediately ceases
• We may delete your account and data after 30 days
• You remain liable for any outstanding fees
• Sections of these Terms that by nature should survive will remain in effect

13. GDPR and International Users

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have rights including:
